workshops
Q. What subject content will be covered?
A. Lighting. The importance of lighing and how to use it to your benefit.
Composition. How to compose your subjects and what to look for through the lens when composing a shot.
Basics. The fundamentals of f/stops, shutter speeds and ISO, plus other basic camera functions.
Q. I just bought my first DSLR camera, is this workshop for me?
A. Absolutely!! The "Photography 101-Understanding the Basics" Workshops is ideal for anyone from the amateur Photographer that is considering to do it as a business to the parent that is looking to capture great shots of their kids and everyone in between.
Q. How much time of the workshop will focus on becoming a professional?
A. Very little. This workshop is a technical workshop, a chance to learn more about the operation of the camera and the dynamics that go into a photo, NOT a business workshop. However, watch in the future for a "Beginning to become a Professional Photographer Workshop"
Q. How long are the Workshops?
A. Each workshop consists of 2 hours in a classroom setting and 1 hour for an On Location Photo Shoot. You will also be given handouts and information to take home and use as a referral guide. Also there will be apx 20-30 mins of driving to the on location shoot
Q. What type of camera do I need to own to participate in the workshop?
A. The workshop will be presented in such a way that would most benefit someone with a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex camera) with a detachable lens. However, the material covered would apply to all types of Photography including a film camera.
Q. Ok, what is the investment and how do I sign up? I can't wait!!
A. The cost of the workshop is $299.00 and payment in full is required to reserve your spot. Please refer to the schedule to the left and find a date that is available. Then go to my contact page and let me know the date that you would like to attend. Simple huh?
